As our community adjusts to new health challenges and expectations, you can rest assured we're redefining safety and cleanliness and further protecting your health and wellbeing throughout your visit. Whether it's Acute Care or COVID Care, we do it all SAFELY.

Our enhanced commitment to safety and cleanliness includes:

Acute Care Safe

• Stringent adherence to the highest level of disinfecting procedures throughout all facilities

• Deep cleaning procedures for all high-touch patient surfaces

• Social distancing protocols in all outpatient waiting areas

• Surgical masking in all areas, following national best practices for infection control

• Visitor restricted policies

• Enhanced laundry and sanitation practices

COVID Care Extra Safe

• Isolated care areas for all COVID patients

• Advanced Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) protocols

• TRU-D ultraviolet light disinfection

• No visitor patient protection policy

• Evidence-based protocols for patient and healthcare worker safety measures

• Enhanced technology and advanced sanitation safety standards

To ensure a safe environment for both patients and co-workers, St. Joseph’s/Candler will screen all scheduled patients for COVID-19 who will be undergoing a surgical procedure during their pre-op visit. Testing may be required, which will be determined by your physician. Read more.

We realize during this time that enhancing the patient experience means not only meeting our rigorous cleaning and patient safety standards, it means far exceeding them.

That means giving you greater confidence while protecting both our patients and our valued healthcare co-workers.

Let us safely care for you
