St. Joseph's/Candler Inpatient Rehabilitation carefully tracks the progress of its patients from year to year. Our Acute Rehabilitation Units (ARU) at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Candler Hospital are accredited by the highest level awarded by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). This certification demonstrates the Acute Rehab Unit’s commitment to continually improving services and outcomes for patients who have experienced serious illness or accident.

Below is a breakdown of the patients treated by our Candler Hospital team during the last year. A total of 384 patients were provided acute rehabilitative care, with 49 percent being male and 51 percent being female and ages ranging from 20 to 96.

On average, patients received more than 16.5 hours of therapy a week and more than 78 percent were discharged back to the community.

Below is a breakdown of the patients treated by our St. Joseph's Hospital team during the last year. A total of 469 patients were provided acute rehabilitative care, with 49 percent being male and 51 percent being female and ages ranging from 20 to 97. 

On average, all patients on the rehab unit received more than 16 hours of therapy a week and more than 80 percent were discharged back to the community.
