Bē Health Fitness Classes in Richmond Hill

At the core of our Bē Health & Well-Being® program at Heartwood in Richmond Hill is your overall well-being. We encompass that in four buckets: physical, emotional/mental, spiritual and social/societal. 

We've developed programming around these elements within the community to help Heartwood residents enhance all or specific elements they would like to focus on. One such area to help you achieve your well-being goals is through our fitness classes.

We offer numerous classes for adults, teens and kids of all physical levels. All classes are taught at The Outfitters Building or along the St. Joseph's/Candler Walking Trail that twists and turns throughout the community.

Currently, we offer: 

Children's Yoga - We make yoga and mindfulness fun for kids. It's filled with games, songs, stories, imaginative play and activities that engage children and give them the tools to feel calmer, happier and more peaceful inside. Offered every Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Yoga for Athletes - Yoga for teen and tween athletes is devoted to helping athletes prevent injury, enhance performance and overcome challenges. Designed to complement any sport, this well balanced powerful program is ideal conditioning for the disciplined athlete. If you're a student athlete this yoga is for you. Offered every Tuesday from 3:14 to 4 p.m.

Family Yoga - Family yoga strengthens bonds and pulls everyone in closer. This yoga community promotes a healthy body image, healthy habits, strong family bonds and aims to open up communication. Offered every Thursday at 10 a.m.

Gentle Yoga - A slower and more gentle practice of yoga at a comfortable pace, allowing you to choose what works for you, creating less strain on muscles and joints. A great practice by anyone regardless of age, a perfect choice for students recovering from injuries, pain or limited mobility. More emphasis is spent on warming up, longer relaxation time, breath work and meditation for a fully rounded experience. Offered every Monday at 6:15 p.m. 

Flow Yoga - Called “Flow” Yoga as the poses blend in practice, a more dynamic style of class for students looking to grow their practice, synchronized with breath, creating your anchor as you move from pose to pose. Excellent for your health, not only keeping you active, but also reducing stress and building strength outward and inward. Warm up, Sun Salutations, stretching and balancing are part of every class. Inner reflection and relaxation are used to close class. Offered every Friday at 9:15 a.m.

POUND - You become the music in an exhilarating full body workout that combines cardio and strength training. This class is designed for all fitness levels. Offered every Monday from 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. and Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.

Generation POUND - We didn't forget about our younger clients with this kid-focused program that fuses movement and music. By combining exercise and interactive activities, kids will learn new ways to explore movement, embrace creativity and rock out. This class is geared towards children 6- to 12-years-old. Offered every Monday from 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Trail Walk - You'll meet the Bē Health navigator for a group activity on the St. Joseph's/Candler Walking Trail. The Bē Health navigator will incorporate stretching and other exercises into the walk to enhance your overall physical, emotional and social well-being. Offered every Tuesday at 8 a.m. and every Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

Mindful Meditation Walk - You'll meet the Bē Health navigator on the St. Joseph's/Candler Walking Trail for a guided meditation. Focusing and engaging will allow you to become aware of your surroundings and how your body and mind feel while moving throughout this peaceful trail system. Offered every Friday at 8 a.m.

Kids Camps - Throughout the year, Bē Health offers a very unique, fun and engaging camp experience. The aim of our camp activities is to help children gain a better understanding of health and well-being through group fitness, mindfulness and nutrition. Children may participate in kid’s yoga, mindfulness activities, crafts, trail walks and other themed activities, including a nutritional activity & snack. The camps will be staffed by dieticians, certified fitness trainers and health educators. We are excited to announce our fall/winter Kids Bē Health Holiday Camps. Upcoming camp dates are: Nov. 10, 20 and 21 and Dec. 20, 21, 26, 27 an 28. Learn more here.
